[Ansteorra] Sunday tournament at guardian of the Tor

Greetings Noble fighters of Ansteorra in the interest of promoting unity
amongst the fighting community of Ansterorra on Sunday morning of Guardian
of the Tor June 28-30. The Tarlatan University SCA Student Group of
Dragonsfire Tor is sponsoring an Unattached Fighters Tourney for both
Chivalric and Rapier combat.

For this tournament an unattached fighter is defined as those Chivalric and
Rapier fighters who are not members of the Chivalry, Dons, Squires, Cadets
or Students to a Master of arms.
To enter this tourney combatants need to be sponsored by a Squire, Cadet, or
Student to a Master of Arms. A Squires and Cadets lunch will be sponsored by
the Student Group on Saturday to give the Squires and cadets a chance to get
together. and provide a place were unattached fighter may come to meet with
the Squires and Cadets of Ansteorra. If a fighter planning on fighting in
the tourney does not yet have a sponsor for the tourney this will be an
excellent opportunity for them to meet one.

Tournament Format

The tournament will be fought in alternate rounds of Chivalric and Rapier
combat ie.. 1st round chivalric 2ed round rapier 3ed round chivalric 4th
round Rapier and so on. this is done to give those fighters who whish to
fight both combat styles the chance to do so.

Chivalric Tourney
This will be a double elimination tournament with the first round being a
challenge round, Second round being a weapon of choice, Third round being
mass weapons, Fourth round being great sword, Fifth round being spear and
glaive, sixth and subsequent rounds being weapon of choice.

Rapier Tourney
This will be a double elimination tournament with the first round being a
challenge round, Second round being a weapon of choice, Third round being
rapier and dagger, Fourth round being rapier and cloak,  Fifth round being
rapier and buckler, sixth and subsequent rounds being weapon of choice.

Prizes will be given for the following


* Chivalric tourney winner
* Rapier tourney winner
* Overall Winner  a point will be given for each bout won in either
tournament the one with the most points will win. in case
   of a tie points awarded for acts of chivalry on the field will be added
to the total.
* Fighters choice the fighters will be polled at the end of the tourney to
choose the fighter they felt fought with the most
   skill,courtesy, honor and chivalry.
* Consorts choice awarded by the consorts of the fighters and the list
mistresses who will stand in as consort for
   the fighters who do no have one. to choose the fighter they felt fought
and displayed Courtesy, chivalry and grace on the
   field of honorable combat.
* Best death
* Distinguished Sponsor given to those sponsors who have displayed excellent
skills in Coaching and supporting their
   candidate. the Sponsors will be polled along with members of the
Chivalry, White Scarf's, and Nobles in attendance.
