[Ansteorra] marriage and registered persona names

I kept my persona name when I got married but changed
my mundane. I really don't think women took their
husband's name back then. If a woman married into
nobility she would take her title as her last name.
For example, my mother married Lord John Edward
Cleavely. Her family name was Bishop. When she married
she became Anne, Lady Cleavely and dropped the Bishop.

Does this make sense? Am I wrong?

=====
The human language is like a cracked kettle on which we beat out a tune for a dancing bear, when we hope with our music to move the stars.
