Nope. Most of the time companies get the better prices. If they don't, they aren't being fiscally smart and leveraging their superior buying power. As a matter of fact, anytime I find a computer for X amount, and go to Dell, they give me an equivalent computer for X - 1% give or take. Why? Company.
Case in point $3400 is a new server from Dell with Raid Level 5, 160 GB of Storage, Monitor, Keyboard, Mouse, APC backup, and Windows Server 2000 with 5 client licenses. We just bought one
A personal computer (fully loaded with Office and Windows XP/2000) should be around $1200 in an office environment, leaving around $3800 of money for virus removal. That's a lot. Granted, they may be having to remove viruses from computers and reinstalling software, but $3800 is a weeks worth of pay (in California) for a EXPENSIVE consultant. Heck I could fly out there in a week and fix it and fly back and still be making VERY good money.

It depends upon what that breaks down to...and what they purchases...
lots of times companies have to pay more for licenses than individuals
do...
