That one is easy to answer. A landed Baron/ess is a person who holds lands
(a Barony) for the Crown. A Baron/ess of the Court is simply a person who
the Crown has determined to be of Noble bearing and having given special
service to the Crown and Kingdom. As to what constitutes "special
service", that varies from Crown to Crown. Landed Baron/ess have duties
within their group while a Court Baron/ess do not have specific duties.
