I find saying, "None for me thanks." and hanging up works well.

Of course you have to say it right after they say, "Hi Mister (mispronounced
name), I'm with such and such."  "None for me thanks."  and down goes the
receiver being able to hear little squeaks of voice as the phones goes into
it's cradle.  Pretty cool!!

The Tele-zapper doesn't work according to product testing people.  But if
you don't like telemarketers, you can get put on the telemarketing list.
