This Gulf War was a glorious war indeed full of exciting battles and tests of
chivalry. But let us not forget those in the background who without their
support this war could've taken more casualties than expected. I speak of
the waterbearers who provided a vital service to our combatants and
non-combatants alike. Without their constant ministrations, more fighters
could've been lost to heat stroke. They provide a crucial service that I
fear is taken for granted at times.

I would especially like to thank Lady Meghann of Crindhe na Tyr and her crew
(Lisa, Cynthia, Anna, & others). It was unusually hot and stifling during
the Fort Battle. These ladies and many others, came out to the Fort and
offered the fighters cold towels, refreshments, and soft words of
encouragement. These offerings kept many of us fighting when we would have
succumbed to the heat. Thank you again for your support.

Vivat to the Waterbearers!!

Duke Patrick
