My four children ages 3, 6, 8, and 11, live for Gulf Wars each year. They
are so excited to arrive and sad to leave. They love spending the time with
other children they see only once a year and having friends to play with all
day every day. It also did not hurt them at all to be surrounded by extended
family in our encampment. Always someone to give attention. They shed a few
tears as we drove away and are already counting the time until the next Gulf
Wars and are already making plans. And they fell into bed exhausted each
night just after dark without an argument for a change!!
