They had over 14,000 last year, according to the Pennsic newsletter  that
keeps count. I doubt it will that high this year since it was about 12,500
the year before Pennsic XXX.

I believe Gulf Wars X had close or over 4,000 to 5,000.

unofficially I heard 12,500 last year.... they expected 15,000 as
it was pennsic XXX
just loved that XXX on mt eislinn....  can you imagine seeing
that from I-79
