[Ansteorra] Too many events?

I have watch this thread with interest and have decided to add my two cents
worth.

Yes as we look at the kingdom calendar it looks like we have a ton of events
going on which is correct we do. most of these events are 5 or more hours
apart from each other. We are a Big kingdom  with 5 very strong regions that
continue to grow.  the Events give us all an opportunity to play together
some of us travel to different regions for events because we have the time
and resources to do so. Other who do not have those resources normally
attend events regularly in their own region and save for those special
occasions when they can  get out to an event away from home.

Events are good for the group. For Smaller groups it gives them the
Opportunity to shine and show their hospitality with their friends. Having
the opportunity to Autocrat the canton I live in next event has provided me
with a wonderful opportunity to work with members of our home barony  and
it's cantons and with other shires near us that have volunteered to help. it
is a wonderful thing to  be a part of. I think it would be a sad thing to
try and have smaller groups do less events. if they need help is their for
the asking.

For smaller groups and large groups alike events give us the opportunity to
spend time with our friends at home and abroad. see those friends recognized
for their achievements. and give us all an opportunity to play. to me the
amount of events we have in our kingdom is encouraging. it shows me that the
dream is alive and well. it shows me that we are all still having fun.
There are times I have to make a choice between events but for me that is OK
it's part of the growing process I think.

So I really don't think we have too many event's I think we have a bunch of
great opportunity to get together have fun doing what we do best and see our
friends recognized for their achievements.
