As for the camels bit, it may or may not have been excessive

No, Stefan, I am in no way saying that people should condone thievery. To
ask that question is as asinine as Olivia's ridiculous curse. I am saying
that the manner in which she expressed her displeasure was VERY
inappropriate for a public forum.

And since it is apparently necessary that I explain things fully and in no
uncertain terms, I'll explain why I think that it was inappropriate, Stefan:
It has long been recognized that stealing, like other crimes is a matter of
degrees. Stealing 10 beers is less serious than stealing an item or items of
great value. Therefore did I express my dismay at Olivia's anger at the
theft - an anger so vehement that she felt the need to express it so vividly
and so publicly. Come on Stefan, do I actually need to explain so simple a
concept as the degrees of crime to you?

I also object to Olivia's threat of some curse, however period it may be.
This is not the appropriate venue to express one's religious beliefs, much
less call down curses. Its also period for Christians to proselytize but
that would also be inappropriate. I wonder just how much of a furor would
erupt on this board if an evangelical Christian were to use it as a tool to
preach their faith?  I should think that this would also be fairly obvious,
Stefan.
