no award higher than a peerage in our game, they are terminal awards.
 I'd suggest it's easier for a few people to change their perceptions
of a word than for others to adopt words that are less precise.

problem in this new PC (politically / pagan / period - correct ..
take you choice) age, people seek comfort and insulation from the
"harsh" (real and perceived) realities of the world ... one easy way
to accomplish this is to re-define the things that make up the world
away from its reality and into some safe, sterilized, controlled,
cocoon.  this includes changing the words & history (_1984_ should be
required reading as long as you understand it!)

any road, the word in question (terminal) is a good latin based word,
that is way more period'ly correct than whatever you are likely to
redact it into.
