Ya got the gist...

>
> Any one can try to be a Peer, but many do not

I actually think many people to live up to their image
of what a Peer should be...because it is an ideal they
strive for...they may never be recognized by the Crown...
but I know many I consider "my peer"...who will never be
recognized as "a Peer"...

> And the Road to being recognized as a Peer is long and
> can be hard as well.

It depends...some have short intense paths...others long and
slow...for many of these people it is not particularly "hard"
because it is done at the level they live and play it's just part
of what they do.

The hard part is when someone thinks they are ready and the Crown
and Circle don't agree...and the person gets disheartened and looses
sight of why they were here in the first place...and if they were
only here in the first place to achieve to the "pinnacle" then they
really didn't get it...it's not the end...it's the journey that counts...
and even when you reach a "pinnacle" you have to find another way
to journey...or else you fall.

I think you mean "triple peer," they have one of each of the Society level
peerages (Sigmund and Simon are also Dons)

Makes for a good question...Can someone throw one out on the Rialto for me?
How many Triple Peers (Society not Royal) have not been King?

> Three have sat the thrown without being a Knight

Two, but I might be wrong...Sigmund and Inman

. . . . . . . Only one has sat the Sable thrown twice
> before having his white belt.

Inman...I thought he got knighted before the 2nd time though...
