If they're coming from the north, as did I, I highly recommend "Some Like It
Hot".  :)

Of particular interest to fighters are certain scenes in westerns where a
fighter has been staked to the ground in the desert and left to die.  This
fairly well simulates how a northerner, new to Ansteorra, feels around round
4 of their first Steppes Warlord.

For those moving from a kingdom that has a "board of directors" of sorts
that has to VOTE on things before they become law, to help ease the
transition, they can read "Beckett or the Honor of God" by Jean Anouilh as a
primer.  :)

Well, if they're moving into Fynnon Gath, I'd recommend the "Mad Max"
trilogy. :-)

Also, I don't know if its indicative of the Ansteorran culture, but I always
recommend "The Lion in Winter" and "The Advocate" just because they're great
movies.
