funny thing about the popular ostracon ... even in scadia, it only
has the power that *you* allow it to have.  in some circles, it's
considered a high compliment and sign that maybe they (the recipient)
are doing something right (g).  for a good comparison, read Hoffman's
_Steal This Book_ and pay attention to the section on groups social
ramificatiosn of the HUAC subpoena's (they became a badge of honor,
everyone wanted one .... sorta like some scadian "banishments"
(grin))

basically, do you really care about those that are so easily swayed
that they try to black-ball those they find unpopular, non-correct,
non-herd, etc???? .. seems like a good marker of people you don't
want to hang with or waste your time upon.  but then, to each their
own and like always YMMV.
