Greetings, granted politics is a significant, and sometimes even unfortunate part of the SCA in some circumstances, but it is definitely not the heart of this game. Honor, chivalry, and all the virtues that make up the SCA do not live in the organization, but in those who play it. The middle ages had its failings too, but that is what made it such a rich and valuable culture. We may stumble along the way, but perhaps that will only allow us to aspire to greater heights. long live the dream. ly Genevieve d'AvignonBarony of Wiesenfeuer

Many people have many definitions of what the SCA is. When you get to
the higher levels of the SCA there are more politics involved. Now
politics does not always mean underhanded deceipt unfortunately it is
how some people interupt it though.

Politics is simply the act of trying to get what you want. This happens
any time 2 or more people are together.
