So who got the ticket that would bring this knowledge to light? ;-)

Lete

PS. Eons ago, there were two boys in Abilene TX who found an ancient law
that you couldn't legally go through Abilene in an automobile (frightening
all the horses in town) without stopping at the outskirts of town to notify
the officials that you were going to drive a car through Abilene and needed
the required escort. They pulled the law out and asked for the escort. Got
it.

Rumor has it that the next day, the car that had had the escort got a
multitude of tickets for every infraction of the law that could be legally
mustered! Never did hear if the law was repealed.
<giggling>
