While I agree completely with this, I must point out that the
operative word in this paragraph is "should". We cannot ignore the
distinction between "should" and "does".
It is tempting to suggest that the offenders be called up into
court, and asked to hush or move away in front of all assembled. However,
such intentional and extreme humiliation is in many ways rude. While the
targets of such may be deserving of such, nonetheless rude behavior on
the part of another does not justify rude behavior on *your* part.
Honorable behavior and good manners are not things that you owe
to others. They are things you owe to yourself.
Also, in response to the suggestion that Peers of the Realm ask
them to be quiet or move away, I hate to say that sometimes Peers are
just as bad as anyone else. The Crown would have to choose their "Attack
Peers" carefully. And what do you do if it's a Baronial Court, where the
presiding Nobles don't have the power to make the Peerage jump when they
call?
