Note also that the Lion of Ansteorra, which is non-armigerous and adds no
precedence, is one of the most valued awards in our kingdom.

Any award, largess, wordfame, etc. boils down to people saying to you "You
have done cool stuff and we noticed." Awards of any rank don't happen
without people not only noticing your cool stuff, but taking the time to
tell the Crown about it.

Any person of any rank can offer wordfame, in a range of ways, from the very
formal method of getting permission to do so during court to raising a toast
and telling of the person's achievements at feast and everything in between.
If you see someone doing something really cool, take the time to offer them
your appreciation by telling them so!

Any person of any rank can offer largesse when they see someone doing cool
things. Largesse doesn't have to be the equivalent of the Crown Jewels. It
can be small things - the real gift is in your noticing the person doing
neat stuff and saying so.

Also note that any person of any rank can write a letter to the Crown
recommending a person for an award of any rank, from an AoA to a peerage.
All you have to do is to write a short letter explaining who the person is,
what neat things that they've done that makes it seem to you they should
have the award in question, and tell the Crown how to spell the person's
name and what event(s) upcoming they're likely to attend. The award is at
the Crown's decision, but you always have the power to give that person
wordfame or largess yourself at *your* whim.
