Artisans give away art? Why? If one is making a living from their art,
and that was what was period, why should give away a portion of your
income. Those who know me, know that I donate a lot items, to my Barony,
to various auctions, to the Kingdom, but I don't want to be expected to
give it away. I donate because I want to help, physically I can't do as
much as I like to do, merchanting at an event keeps me from helping at
the event, but I can donate my work, but I want to do it, I don't want
it to be expected. I may be stepping on some toes, but if the artisan is
valued, then their work should be valued. This is a different can of
worms, from the question asked, but I though it needed some
clarification.
