I found out that yes, the blade is approved by the SCA Rapier Marshal, and 
therefore is currently accepted in Ansteorra for rapier combat. It is not the 
same as the Alchem schlager, side sword, or saber blades. It is like a rapier 
length SafeFlex blade.  
It is in the heavy class of rapier blades.  Fencing class blades are fencing 
blades. This is not a fencing blade.
