It looks like he WILL be in trouble for running a business out of his home.
There are regulations about that in many places.
IMHO he should be allowed to run his business if he does not have clients
come to the residence and if it does not produce noise, traffic or smells that
are a nuisance to the neighborhood. (Like maybe someone that writes
websites or programs at home and has no clients or traffic at the house.
Unlike someone that does at-home day-care with pick-ups and drop-offs).
I think the reactions to OH MY GOD, Knives that are, gasp, SHARP! is way
out of proportion. It is not like they can accidentally go off. He is not giving
them away like candy. I bet there is not a house in the neighborhood that
does NOT have a SHARP butcher knife in the drawer in the kitchen where,
gasp, any child can get to it.
What blatant sensationalizing! But if it can happen in one place, it can
happen elsewhere.
You know, my family still thinks it very odd that I can fly with my swords. I just
have to put them in checked baggage and they can't believe that the airline
doesn't even CARE! As long as I don't have it the cabin.
This kind of overt over reaction does worry me.
