Greetings to the great People of Ansteorra,

Do you enjoy competition? Is your strength in your sword, or your
Rapier, or perhaps your needle?
Come to Steppes' War Lord May 27 - 30! There competition will abound as
our gracious Baron seeks his War Lord, Rapier Champion, Steppes Archer,
and Equestrian Champion.

Not interested in competing for those titles? That's ok, there will
also be others. How about Steppes Bard? Or Thrown Weapons? Or Youth
Boffer?

Other activities will include several Archery shoots, including William
Tell and a whole host of other reasons to grab your bow and head out.
Some prizes are indeed worth the practice!

Our A&S Champion sponsors a contest all her own, with the Theme "Period
Processes". The ever-challenging on-site embroidery contest will also
occur, with a few slight changes.

And classes! Many classes in the coolness of the Hall will be available
to all those interested.

Shopping you say? Well, sorry. No prizes for shopping, other than those
you find tucked in a corner of our many merchants' stalls. Yes, Many.
There's an ATM in the Hall, too!

Scribal tables will be set up to accommodate those kind and talented
souls desiring to help with charter painting, and maybe even
calligraphing a scroll or two.

Gate fees are modest; a mere $12.00 per adult, ages 6 - 17 $7.00, 5 and
under free. Family cap is but $38.00. The additional $3.00 fee will
apply to those not able to present current membership cards or other
proofs.

We have but one special request of all attending: please allow us to
finish setting up the site before everyone enters! The magic of our game
will then be all the more enjoyable for us all. The site officially
opens at noon on Friday, and we do promise you'll get in then. And do
feel free to visit our website, and contact me with any questions you
may have.

In service to the Dream as ever,
