The time for Boarhunt is nigh! Grab your Boar Spear, unleash the hounds, and come join the courageous souls who dare to venture forth into the haunted woods of Smythkepe to hunt the elusive Razorback at Mid Summer Knight's Dream this Labor Day weekend.  - - 
But, BEWARE!! For within the forlorn wood dwells the Master of the Hunt, and his flaming Devildogs, searching for the souls of the lost to sate their immortal hunger. 
Sometimes, for those who travel too deeply into the wood, the Hunter becomes the Hunted!! 
Teams can consist of 4-6 members - which will include: 
 
1 Hunter, 1 Scout, 1-3 Dogs, 1 Marshall (to keep the "Kill" tally)
 
Other Fighting Activities include: 
 
The Shake-a-Spear Tourney (the winner will receive his/her very own Spear!! )

And, back by popular demand - EPIC BATTLES!! 
Do battle for your mortal soul, as you embark on the path to Glory. Face the creatures of Greek Mythology with nothing more than your weapons and your wits! 

Plus: three of MSKD's traditional tourneys - 
 
Boffer Dagger Duel 
Come one, come all - no cards necessary! Pit your Boffer Dagger skills against all who enter - "Two man enter! Two man leave!?!?!? . . . " 
 
Weird Weapons Tourney 
Wield the power of the Force as you duel with the ancient weapon of the Jedi (Single Sword - Edges do not apply. Sword hits as Mass Weapon, and hitting yourself counts as a kill!! . . . . . for the other fighter.) 

The Fledgling Tourney
Fledglings! Grab your swords and impress your Shire-mates by participating in the traditional Smythkepe Fledgling Tourney - Double Elimination, any weapon style! Fighters must have no more than 18 months experience in the fighting arts, and not yet won a Tourney.

Smythkepe Defender Tournament 

Earn your place as the "Smythkepe Defender"! Tourney is open to anyone living within 150 miles of Smythkepe. The format will be a variation of "luck of the draw" with emphasis on skill and control. This will be a double elimination Tournament and by's will be destructive. This Tournament will be run by Ld Regné de Lyon of Smythkepe. 


Fox Hunt

One fighter will be the fox, all other fighters will be the hunters. The fox will get a two minute head start ahead of the hunters. Hunters may only carry a single weapon, as one hand is assumed to be used to control their mount. There will be a minimum of three hunts, with more if time permits and interest persists. The winner will be either the fox (if he survives) or the hunter who captures or slays the fox in the shortest amount of time. The fox may be captured by disabling all 4 limbs. Note that extremely dastardly hunter might attempt to win by eliminating other hunters...

The Wheel of Death
Prepare Ye to face the Wheel of Death!
Spin the wheel and Fate will determine thy Doom or Triumph!
This will be a Double Elimination Tournament where a spin of the wheel determines thy weapon(s). Will it be Cape and Buckler?! Perhaps a poisoned dagger!  Alas, poor Yorick!
