This entire matter is something for the Outlands and the BoD to handle.  I 
fail to see why this has been sent all over the whole known world and why it 
was posted here.

With investigations into problems at the BoD level, the SCA don't publish 
all the facts for various reasons including the person's right to privacy.  
All the knight who posted this screed *knows* is that the BoD is doing 
*something*.  He has no facts regarding what exactly the wording of the 
complaint was, why the peerage was relinquished or regiven, or anything 
useful. We have no way of knowing if there was financial hanky-panky, actual 
mundane criminal action, or anything else that might result in sanctions 
that a Crown *must* act upon -- no matter how friendly towards a person the 
Crown is, the Crown and usually the Kingdom Seneschal have a legal, real 
world duty to exercise due diligence in some matters, and this may for all 
we know be such a case.

Despite this utter lack of actual facts regarding what is going on, Sir 
Chicken Little wants to run around squawking that "The Sky Is Falling! The 
BoD will henceforth prevent Crowns from making peers as they see fit!" (And 
yes, you can tell him I said so.)

Sheesh!  A little less hysteria.  Let the Outlands deal with their own 
issues.
