Unfortunately yes, but not because of SCA individuals.

Since Elfsea Defender is the weekend before First Monday Trade Days,
The vendors for Trade Days can get on site starting at noon on Sunday
of Elfsea Defender.

This means that right behind where we usually set-up troll there are
anywhere from 50-100 people camped out in RVs that are not affiliated
with the SCA. Most of these people are very polite and understand that
they do not have the right to move freely about the property. However,
there are some bad apples in any group.

So, for the last few years we have hired an off-duty Canton police
officer to assist with Security. This has been extremely helpful, as
he has taken care of non-SCA people speeding through the site. Also,
because he regularly deals with First Monday Merchants they listen to
him better than us.
