L T <ldeerslayer at yahoo.com> wrote: What different kinds of volunteering/jobs have you done at Gulf War?

Teaching classes, some waterbearing, painting kids & other Kingdom's scrolls.

What was your favorite?

The thrill of painting a black star on another Kingdom's kid, especially if they are related to a Trimarian Royal family member or one of their Knights.

What did you learn that you wouldn't have known otherwise?

The many friendships made & kept over the years from teaching classes & the exchange of art info.
Kids do remember you (& most Trimarian parents don't make them rub off their black stars).
The variety of wording & artwork on other Kingdom's scrolls.
The different types of insignia in other Kingdoms.
Identifying heraldric displays, from seing them year after year.
Mostly I have learned that it takes a great number of people, patience, negotiating, planning & coordinating to hold such an event.
