What different kinds of volunteering/jobs have you done at Gulf War?

Chirurgeoning and teaching First Aid and CPR, waterbearing.

What was your favorite?

Favorites don't happen when you stick with one topic.

What did you learn that you wouldn't have known otherwise?

How to treat injuries that we may never see here, how to work well in a team
even when it's a lop-sided team, How to pack an incredible amount of stuff
in a little 'go bag', then haul the ten-ton thing around at a large war!

I have to add here that as a Chirurgeon, I would wish that everyone enjoys
Gulf War to the best of their desire, but never hesitates to call for a
Chirurgeon, or flag one down, when they need something as simple as a
bandaid or as complex as a major medical issue dealt with. Not only are we
at events to serve, and we do work pretty hard, but Chirurgeoning is our
'fun'. This is the game we play. Our modern certifications require that we
treat each of you with consideration, dignity, and the full force of our
Oath, which also contains the clause "do no further harm". Don't hide from
us - we have every reason to help you, and Ansteorran Chirurgeons are among
the most highly trained in the Known World. If any of this concerns you,
please don't hesitate to contact our new Kingdom Chirurgeon, Genevieve de la
Gamba, or me.

Ever in service to our game, our King, and the Chirurgeonate,
Gerita della Mara
Deputy Kingdom Chirurgeon/Admin
New ER Deputy Chirurgeon.
