[Ansteorra] Suggestion for Kingdom Property

Here's a suggestion, for what it's worth...

Artisans in Wiesenfeuer once made some lovely
travelling thrones for the Kingdom's 10th anniversary
coronation. They donated them to the kingdom and over
many years they saw some very hard use.

One time in particular, after they had been returned
to the barony again for repair, the Kingdom financial
committee made a written agreement with the barony
that when/if repairing those thrones for use became
impractical or impossible or if they were replaced,
they would be retired back to the barony, as opposed
to the broken pieces being stored forever or
surplussed in an auction.

Others who have donated such regalia might want to
consider contacting kingdom to propose such a deal
(either individuals or groups). More often than not,
these well-used items have no identifying features
that would say who crafted them. This means Kingdom
has no choice but to store them or sell them or donate
them - all of which have great potential for hurting
the feelings of the donor/craftsman.

I much prefer a situation where an item would be
returned to the original artisan/donor, who could then
dispose of their work appropriately, donate it to a
Crown who wants/used it, or renovate it and bring it
for historical displays. It would definitely save the
Kingdom some storage space. I think it might make our
historical displays more interesting too.

Just a thought or two.
