A bit off-topic, but this was linked to the Texas Medievalist Associations webpage
(http://www.towson.edu/~duncan/tmahome.html) and thought some would be interested in a more
formal direction of history education.

UT Tyler will hold a conference 'Conference Title: From Plato to Potter', intended to bring
together students, faculty, and the local community to discuss a range of issues concerning the
Classical Medieval, and Renaissance periods, their continuing importance, and the beginning of
Center for Classical, Medieval, and Renaissance Studies. Independent Scholars are welcome to
these academic conferences (note - best not to dwell on affiliation with the SCA).

Date: Saturday, March 26th.
Plenary Speaker: John Kirby (Purdue University)
See the site at: http://www.uttyler.edu/dmurphree/CCMRSCFPPlatotoPotter.htm

Cheers, Hillary
