I'd also like to remind Ansteorra's artisans that there are several
helpful articles and "how-to" guides for putting together your
documentation for A&S entries, available on the Laurels' "State of
the Arts" webpage at:
http://laurel.ansteorra.org/ALWDocumentation.htm

Another helpful tip for artisans -- take a few minutes before
starting your documentation to look at the judging forms that will
be used in evaluating your entries. You can find them at
http://laurel.ansteorra.org/ALWForms.htm

Sit down with your form, your entry, and your documentation, and
try scoring your item on the form yourself. Look at what is being
asked on each area, and make sure that your documentation addresses
those areas. Another good idea is to ask someone else, perhaps
someone who doesn't practice your art, to do the same thing. This
is a great way to figure out where you need to beef up your
documentation!

Also, don't forget that the Laurels of Ansteorra are also a great
resource outside of A&S events. Check with Laurels in your area to
get suggestions, ideas for improvements, and feedback!

I hope to see you there.
