[Ansteorra] folklore and wive's tales: fact or fallacy

I am not sure about the origin of the terms graveyard shift or dead ringer, 
but i did see something on the history channel years ago about the funeral 
industry that talked about the bell with the line leading down to the coffin.  
Can't remember whether it was used or just an invention they found in the 
research they thought would be an interesting tidbit for TV.
