[Ansteorra] Re: Ansteorra Digest, Vol 26, Issue 18

Specific to Count Gunthar's longish rant, Snorri sez:

"Tell It Brother Gunthar."

Now, having said that, we've determined that:
a) some folks like "o-crat" names
b) some folks like "period" names
c) there are arguments for and against both sides
d) some folks like and use both depending on appropriateness of the
event; i.e. Brawlin' in the Bog XXXVIII, some local event hosted by
the Shire of Whatchamacallit with its own peculiar history, may have a
bog-o-crat but the Coronation of Heironymous and Consortia in the same
location will have event stewards, feast stewards, etc.
e) there is a recent trend to move toward a more period representation
of these event officers' titles but it, like all aspects of change in
the SCA, are done over a long amount of time and not without some
controversy or debate.
f) the nastycrat is that individual blessed (?) with the job of more
or less being the site's department of sanitation.

So my question is this ... can anyone come up with a more period term
for a nastycrat? I've heard of something for every position but that
one. Thoughts, opinions, whacks upside the head?
