Dear Fellow Historians and People of Ansteorra,
This project is being worked on by folk in other kingdoms for a History of Pennsic. If you have any knowledge to shed any light on the questions below, please forward them to me or contact the gentleman below directly so we may help them with this quest. Thank you for your help in preserving history in all its many guises. Until then, I remain...
In service,
HL Annes
Kingdom Historian

Subject: [SCA-Historians] Deadline Approaching
In order to get _Herstradr-Saga,_ the incomplete history of Pennsic we have
been working on for the past year, published in time for Pennsic, I have
set a deadline of 9 July for final additions. There are only a few
questions that need to be answered (a few more feature only one view), and
if anyone can answer any of the following before next Saturday, I would
great appreciate it. A second edition, of course, is planned just as with
all our other historic writings.
Questions
11a. Does anyone have a copy of an ad or notice for the first Pennsic from
The Pale, the Pikewstaff and eldsewhere?
22. When did aerial photos and postcards start?
26. When and how did the Serengeti acquire that name? Who named it?
42. When/Why did the Caravan organize?
68. When did they start using siege weapons on the field?
72. What were A&S activities at Pennsic 7?
What were the mundane names of:
75. Morgan Wolfsinger (xxx)
76. Andrew MacRubh (xxx)
77. Rose Debonocouer (xxx)
78. Celwin Barenjager (xxx)
79. Berwyn Aethelbryght (xxx)
84. Volf of Novgorad (xxx)
85. Aidan ni Lehr (xxx)
86. Brian of Leicester (xxx)
I'm also looking for a photo of Fatty Lumpkin (if you have to ask who is
that, you prolly don't have one). A promised print hasn't shown up! And if
you have personal knowledge of who devised the name "pennsic," that seems
to be something that _nobody_ else knows! Please share!
Thanks!
Cheers, Folo
