Pray forgive the off-topic subject.   
Those interested in a more academic perspective on the Medieval Ages, may want to note the date of
Oct. 13-15, 2005; for the 2005 Texas Medieval Conference, to be held at the University of 
Houston.   

The Texas conferences are held annually at state universities.  Academic papers are presented on 
various subject themes from literary, historical, musical, philosophical, art-historical, or
religious.  Yes, it can be a dry presentation from professors and students of medieval history,
but it can also provide a source of new information for SCA'ers.
