Unfortunatley, mobility is a big issue for many of us out there, and one of the problems with a lot of event stewars, autocrats or what ever you may wish to call them , is that they don't take this into consideration. The Baroness of Dun Or  and several others of us there either have to use wheelchairs at larger events, or the little motorized scooters...and I have heard several really rude comments about it.
Maybe someone should teach a class on chilvalry to the disabled:)

However, I believe from what I have seen that they do not provide a sufficient amount of independence and mobility. So I just let my mind do the conversion and be happy that we can overlook that nessecity and those prejudices that my persona would likely have had about them. 

I love it that the SCA is open minded and welcoming about mundane prejudices. Wish we could be more so about our SCA specific prejudices.
