Nooooo.

It will bleach the fabric.

It depends on whether the goo is oil-based. If so, I would first try
scraping as much off as I could without pulling out the fabric.  You might
try Goo Gone, then a liquid soap, Dawn is the best, directly on oily goo
should help remove it.

Have you tried peroxide?  If it works on blood, something I found out when I
was a guard in a prison in Oklahoma, mebbe it will do just as well on that
greasy goo.
