If you are heading down to Stargate area for the Kingdom Dance Symposium

Here is a list of a few additional activities you may want to check out, 
especially as the kiddo's are out of school: 

*Lord of the Rings* movie exhibit at the Houston Museum of Nat'l Science, at:

(I highly recommend you get tickets online, to save time in line).  Exhibit
has lots of the armor, weapons, costumes and other great things from the movie
as well as several interactive film special effects to play with.  

The Houston Center for Contemporary Craft opens a new exhibit this weekend, by 
Harlan Butt, one of the premier enamelists of the country at:

Harlan creates vessel shapes akin to vases.  Google his name and you will find 
many samples of his work.   

Museum of Fine Arts - http://www.mfah.org/
current exhibits include a large 'Baseball' display (yep, you heard it - Baseball!)
as well as ancient Greek Bronze vases, and images from women from the ancient world.
