Wow, I'm very flattered! Thank you! All the children who attended the classes said they had a blast working on the mittens. I was really disappointed we did not have the jousting tournament and so were the children....but they did have fun with the stations I placed out. We did beaded neckalces, playdoh, "color your own castle", create your own puzzle, god's eyes and just some good old coloring fun.
I would like to give word praise to the 2 people that came to help me. Amanda and Demitri of the Fray came and helped me for nearly 4 hours. This was Amanda's first event and came with some of the Fray, she sat down and showed the children how to make God's eyes. Demitri sat on the floor and colored with the little ones, teaching them to color between the lines. These 2 made my job so much easier as they helped entertain, while I kept them corralled and quiet.

would also like to give word fame to Lady Maria, the gentle lady who
ran children's activities for Warlord. I had volunteered to help and
when the chivalric list was delayed due to the rain I stopped by to
see what I could do and found that I was not even needed. The rain
played havoc with her previous plans, and yet she was able to provide
activities that entertained a "horde" of children in a hall for
several hours. I know that she had volunteers who came by and worked
and had other plans for the next day, but it was her flexibility and
calm that saved the day. Vivat. [...]
