[Ansteorra] Katrina Disaster Relief Efforts

For those that wish to donate clothing and food, please check with the
refugee shelters here in Texas. Many people have been transported here with
nothing but the clothes on their backs. Some of the shelters in San Antonio
have been asking for clothing and infant supplies (diapers, formula, and
baby food) for the people in their care.

The best thing you can do for the Katrina victims is to donate MONEY to
the American Red Cross and other disaster agencies.

The relief agencies have no mechanism to get used clothes, canned goods,
etc stuff donated or collected to the victims.

Send money so the relief agencies can buy food, gas, water, and other
logistics and support items that they can get to the victims.

The news media is showing several agencies that money donations can be
made to, check CNN, call you local Red Cross, The American Jewish
Communities, Salvation Army, etc.

This is a disaster of unequaled proportions in the US or even the World.
It is right up there with the Tsuimina (sp) disaster of Dec 2004.

Entire towns are gone and that may include New Orleans.
