Beaumont and surrounding area are under mandatory evacuation as of noon today.  My brother and his fiance are on the road up to Dallas now and say it's very slow going.  Another brother and his family are going to ride it out in Houston (they're in the Heights and don't expect flooding problems), but they have been warned that they're likely to have no power for up to a week.  So keep in mind that some of our Stargate folks may need a place to stay for up to a week after Rita comes through.  I'm afraid my house will be full with my family, but it sounds like there are a number of places with crash space in the Steppes and Elfsea for those in need.
