Check it out -
The Royal Tombs of Ur, at the Houston Museum of Natural Science.
Maybe worth a side trip if you are heading down to the Stargate/Loch Soillier/Raven's Fort areas
for an event. Exhibit is from February 24 – August 13, 2006

Website:
http://www.hmns.org/exhibits/special_exhibits/Royal_Tombs.asp?r=1&terms=

Exhibit details:
Features more than 400 rare and exquisite Sumerian artifacts from the excavation of this famed
Mesopotamian city; including extravagant jewelry of gold, lapis lazuli and carnelian; cups of gold
and silver; bowls of alabaster; extraordinary objects of art and culture; and several of the
world's earliest known musical instruments, such as a gold and lapis bull-headed lyre.

Be sure to check out the 'Press' link, I oft find interesting tidbits of an exhibit from those
articles and press releases.

Enjoy, Hillary
