[Ansteorra] attracting and keeping new people

Speaking as someone who was "thrust" (by my own choice) into an office
directly following their first event, I think that this is definitely not
something that should be regulated in any way. Careful work by the Shire
seneschal and regional officer can help to determine if the person is ready.
We seem to have pretty good luck down here in Seawinds judging what it is
people need to help them grow into good SCA worker-bees. It really does
differ for everyone. Some people are okay jumping right into an office, some
people just need to offer to run children's activities or help cook in the
kitchen. There's something for everyone at an SCA event, the person just
needs to look around and find it.
