Well, I'm not going to contribute to gossip, of course, but _I_ heard it was
because someone who called himself a "chiurgeon" performed open heart 
surgery
in a camp in the swamp using a flexi-dagger blade and some libation left 
over
from the Hellp party as antiseptic. This would have been okay except it
turns out the "chiurgeon" wasn't certified in dagger and also wasn't wearing
the required back of the hand protection required by the Chirgeonate 
Marshall
for all open cavity operations.

This horrid breach of protocol has lead to the drastic measures.

But that's just what I heard.....

I'm not one to go around repeating rumors, though.
