All right, Evil Count...

   How did you find out so soon?  We were teaching that technique at Round Table and had hoped to find a willing vic...I mean...patient to perform it on.  Sheesh.  I'd hope they'd at least get authorized first.  Bad chirurgeon.  Are you willing to be the next dum...I mean volunteer to try our next technique on?  We plan for true medieval medicine with leeches, fleams and no anesthetic or disinfection.  All for "period ambiance and technique," right?  I bet we could display for Laurel's Prize Tourney!!

  Well, I'm not going to contribute to gossip, of course, but _I_ heard it was
  because someone who called himself a "chiurgeon" performed open heart 
  surgery
  in a camp in the swamp using a flexi-dagger blade and some libation left 
  over
  from the Hellp party as antiseptic. This would have been okay except it
  turns out the "chiurgeon" wasn't certified in dagger and also wasn't wearing
  the required back of the hand protection required by the Chirgeonate 
  Marshall
  for all open cavity operations.

  This horrid breach of protocol has lead to the drastic measures.

  But that's just what I heard.....

  I'm not one to go around repeating rumors, though.
