Barat, sorry for the lateness, report follows.
Greetings and Happy Holidays :)
Lots of activity going on in the marshallate right now. The Crowns of
Ansteorra, Trimaris, and Glenn Abhen, along with the respective Earl
Marshals having been working out all the conventions of combat for
this upcoming Gulf Wars. It is our plan to have them agreed upon and
signed by the occurence of Steppes 12th Night, so that we might make
them public before actually departing for Gulf Wars.
There are two new regional armoured marshals. The new Central
Regional Marshal is Sior Tomas Niallagain, and the new Northern
Regional Knight Marshal is Ld. Marc Antoine de Larue. Please give
them your full support as they transition into their new
responsibilities.
By the time you read this, you should have already made certain that
all of your armour and weapons conform to the new Society rules as
well as the new Ansteorran rules. There will be probably be some
areas where it might not be possible to follow both, and we'll be
providing guidance on those areas. Additionally, the Ansteorran rules
are currently undergoing a re-write in order to rectify the
discrepancies that exist. It is our goal to have the new rules ready
for signing by the Crown at either coronation or Kings Round Table.
Finally, the marshallate secretary and I have designed new
authorization cards for those young men and women between the ages of
16-18 who wish to fight with the adults. These cards will be orange
in color, and have a slightly different format, due to the fact that
for the time being, we are requiring these young adults to be
authorized in separate weapons styles. On a related note, I'll buy
someone dinner if they can come up with a short version of "youths
between the ages of 16 and 18 who wish to fight with adults" that is
pleasing to both those persons and myself.
In Service,
Sieur Jean Paul de Sens
