Yes, and a yearbook photograph of someone with a sword is not the 
same as having a person with a *real* sword in the school, either 
(which, presumably, was the initial purpose of the "no weapons" 
policy.) It's kind of difficult to stab someone with a photograph.

I have to wonder if their school library has taken out all the 
pictures of swords (and other weapons) from the encyclopedias and 
history books.

Well *I'm* all in favor of standing up against stupid and arbitrary 
policies by government officials. There's also that line in the 
Constitution about our right to keep and bear arms...
