[Ansteorra] Blacksmithing q's

My Lady, my husband worked a forge for years before he ended up in a
wheelchair, and is trying to figure out how to get back into it safely, but
he often speaks about quenching hot iron in water with an equal layer of old
motor oil. He also emphasizes the need for care while quenching hot metal
even with this combination.
