[Ansteorra] Dog carts at SCA events

A number of folks here have probably seen the small wooden wagon
pulled around the recent Bryn Gwlad Fall Event and the Defenders of
the Roses event recently. A number of folks made comments about the
wagon being cute, I guess because it is sized for our small 14 pound
American Exkimo dog. These wagons can also be useful for hauling
stuff around an SCA event. At the BG event, even though the wagon and
dog are small, he pulled our fairly heavy box of feast gear to and
from the feast area.

I bought the wagon off of e-bay and modified it by replacing the
regular handle with the staffs and harness which I made using the
instructions given in an article, which first appeared in Tournaments
Illuminated in 2004.

I have now added an updated version of this article to the TRAVEL
section of the Florilegium:
Dog-Carts-art (24K) 11/15/06 "Dog Carts and Draft Dog Training:
                                        Directions to Convert a
European Style
                                        Hand Wagon into a "Period"
Dog Wagon" by
                                        Lady Rachael of Bhakail.

Eventually I'll be adding another file to this section with photos of
our dog, Snowball, pulling our wagon and some descriptions of how our
wagon and modifications differ from what Lady Rachael did. If anyone
has taken any other photographs of Snowball and his wagon at those
events, I'd love get copies of them.
