It kind of depends on what you want to get out of it.  You aren't going to get the same type of experience you would in a group focused on early American/frontier history.  But, if you want an interesting, out of the ordinary renaissaince personna, you can certainly get that.  

Would you want to portray an American Indian as if he were in his own lands at events or would you want to portray an American Indian who has been brought to Europe at events?  Both options are open to you and both offer vastly different portrayals and experiences.
