The SCA Marshal's Handbook includes a requirement that elbow protection be 
worn that specifically excludes a shield as adequate elbow protection. Many 
fighters in the SCA who have fought for years with no elbow cop on the 
shield side think this rule should be rescinded.

In response to this concern, Duke Logan of Atlantia has placed a petition 
online.

I don't personally care one way or the other about this particular issue. 
I've always fought wearing cops on both elbows. If, however, you're of the 
opinion that your shield is all the protection your elbow needs, go to

believe that the new rule is a definite improvement and want to support it, 
go to the same place and express that opinion.
